Photos: Whitney Houston Immortalized With Wax Statues

As the one year anniversary of the death of Whitney Houston grows near, Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum is unveiling a new set of wax statues created in honor and in memory of the late popstar.
The Madame Tussaud’s museums in Washington DC, Hollywood, Las Vegas and NYC are all getting a different wax likeness of Whitney and as you can see in the promo photo above, each statue looks incredibly lifelike.
The music world was literally brought to a stand still a year ago this week. While rehearsing for the Grammys, music’s biggest event, artists got the news that Whitney Houston was found dead upstairs at her Beverly Hilton Hotel room. And to celebrate her life and legacy, The Grammy committee has decided to include an hour-long special called “The Grammys Will Go On: A Death in the Family,” which will air Thursday Feb. 9, the day before the Grammy Awards in Los Angeles.
Whitney Houston died at the age of 48 on February 11, 2012.
These new statues pay homage to Super Bowl ’91, I Wanna Dance With Somebody, The Bodyguard and I Look To You.
