President Barack Obama was officially sworn into a second term on 20th Jan 20013, just before noon with Chief Justice John Roberts administering the oath of office at a private event at the White House.
Only the President's immediate family and few relatives were present, along with journalists to witness and televise the event.
The ceremonial inauguration will take place on Monday.
